Thank you Dr B Russell, Curator of Mechanical Engineering Creations, at the Science Museum in London, for judging our recent household robot competition. This was inspired by the wonderful exhibition currently being hosted at the museum to explore man’s desire to create machines that are close to human beings.

The children were all delighted to have their ideas scrutinised by such an eminent individual and were very interested in the comments that he had to make about the winning entries:

The winner was Emma Williams for her Brushing Robot, which Dr Russell thought was very ‘cunning’.
